02Process

Individual Care. Thoughtful Decisions.

Whether a treatment is suitable depends on a professional examination, your clinical circumstances and an honest discussion of the options available — including the option of not treating.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We listen to your concerns and expectations, review your medical and dental history, and carry out a thorough examination.

  2. 02

    Treatment Planning

Options are explained with their benefits, limitations, risks and costs, so that you can make an informed choice in your own time.

  3. 03

    Continuing Care

Good outcomes depend on maintenance. We discuss aftercare and review arrangements as part of every plan.

04Treatment stages

Dental Implants

  1. 01

    Consultation and examination

Your medical and dental history is reviewed and your mouth is examined. Radiographs are taken; a three-dimensional scan (CBCT) may be recommended where it will genuinely inform planning.

  2. 02

    Treatment planning

The dentist explains the options available to you — including alternatives to implants — together with the expected stages, timescales, risks and costs, so that you can make an informed decision.

  3. 03

    Preparatory treatment

Some people need treatment first, such as managing gum disease, removing a failing tooth, or bone grafting where there is not enough bone to support an implant.

  4. 04

    Implant placement

The implant is placed in a minor surgical procedure, usually under local anaesthetic. A temporary restoration may be provided where appropriate.

  5. 05

    Healing

The implant is left to integrate with the bone. This commonly takes from several weeks to a few months. In selected cases a restoration can be attached sooner, but this is not suitable for everyone.

  6. 06

    Restoration

Once the implant is stable, impressions or a digital scan are taken and the final crown, bridge or denture is made and fitted.

  7. 07

    Maintenance

Implants need the same daily care as natural teeth, together with regular professional reviews to check the gums, bone and restoration.

The People Behind Your Care

06Our philosophy

An Individual Approach to Every Smile

Dt. İsmet Uslu (left) and Dt. Fatih Samet Uslu in white coats in the clinic

No two mouths are alike. Before recommending treatment, we take time to understand your oral health, your expectations and how any change would fit into your life.

Often the most appropriate option is the most conservative one. Where more extensive treatment is needed, we explain why, and what it will mean for you in the years ahead.

We believe good dentistry begins with understanding — what you would like to achieve, what concerns you, and what your teeth and gums actually need. Recommendations follow a careful examination, and each option is explained clearly, including its limitations and alternatives, before any decision is made.

Uslu Dental Clinic is a private dental practice in Nişantaşı, on the European side of Istanbul. Patients are seen by our dentists, Fatih Samet Uslu and İsmet Uslu.

10Frequently asked

Common questions

Ask us your question

Implant placement is normally carried out under local anaesthetic, so the procedure itself should not be painful. Discomfort and swelling in the following days vary from person to person and are usually managed with pain relief recommended by your dentist.

Yes. Both terms describe crowns made from zirconium dioxide. “Zirconia” is the term used in dental literature; “zirconium crowns” is common in everyday use, especially in Türkiye.

Veneers are planned conservatively: teeth are only gently shaped where needed, and in some cases minimal or no preparation is required. Your dentist will explain what is planned for each tooth.

Used correctly under professional supervision, whitening is considered safe for enamel. Temporary sensitivity is the most common side effect.

Smile design is a planning approach tailored to you; the aim is not to give everyone the same look, but to design the natural smile that best suits your face and personality.

Depending on bone structure and biting forces, the bridge is planned on four or six implants; for some patients a different solution may be more suitable.
